Hi All,
It’s with great regret that I am selling the last of my LoTR collection – the Sword of Boromir.
This is the last one to go because it has always been my favourite, not least because it looks the most historically accurate (albeit with a few fantasy flourishes!).
As it’s a wall-hanger, it obviously hasn't been used for any cutting or anything like that! It’s just sat on the wall, looking pretty.
I believe that this sword has now been discontinued, and is quite hard to find. I did manage to find one being sold in the UK, mint in box, although it demands quite a high price tag!:

Mine isn’t in mint condition, though – there are a few scuffs to the finish on the cross and blade, just from dry-handling and hanging on the plaque. Nothing major, and you could always pretend they’re from a recent battle with orcs!
There is also the tiniest bit of movement in the pommel: if you try and unscrew it, it moves a fraction of a millimetre. Not noticeable unless you really try to move it, however – the hilt is still good and solid.
Also comes with the original box, certificate of authenticity, and display plaque (also a little scuffed – see pictures).
I'm asking £200 plus postage. As the package is quite a heavy one, postage in the UK will be £14 without insurance; or £23 with insurance, 48-hour delivery, tracked and traced.
Payment by bank transfer, cheque, cash on collection (if you live near Leeds). Paypal is also fine, and I’ll eat the fees.
Please contact me via pm or e-mail: a.mercer@leeds.ac.uk
Despite the terrible camera-phone pictures, this sword has now been sold!
Many thanks,
Ant
