I've customized this in a few different ways
First, I slowly ground out a ricasso on this blade. It is a pretty long sword, so the ricasso fits it nicely, IMHO.
Second, the antiquing that Hanwei did was too heavy on this sword for my tastes. I have polished it out some, though it is still there.
Third, I did an amateur wire wrap on the grip. Personally, I like it.
Finally, when I got the sword the scabbard was almost orange. Ick. It didn't like it at all. I have dyed it a darker color, as can been seen in the pictures.
I should note that this sword cuts REALLY well. I am surprised. I think that it is my best cutting sword, or close to it. I am surprised how well it performs for such an inexpensive weapon.
Asking 175 (which is cheaper alone that Albion's wrap job! though I won't compare to their quality, for sure ;-)
