Times are hard and I am selling these Genuine Antique French Officers Pistols, A stunning pair they are made really well, they date from about 1820-30 and have been converted to percussion ( a period conversion ). The Stocks appear to be made out of walnut and both feature a solid Gold shield cartouche, one which bears the owners initials.
The Octagonal barrels are flared and stamped "tordu Soleil" (twist) which is the French answer for rifling. They are signed by the gunmaker both on the top of the barrel and on the plates too.
