To answer a a few questions I've had about this. Where the piece comes together, it's able to accommodate a 1.5" wide blade. My original idea was to do a step down into a ricasso like a
schiavona, since when I put a test handle and blade on it it really helped to loop my index finger around. There is no pommel, I was either going to use one from Darkwood Armoury or have one made. It doesn't take much to balance a blade out with this basket.
In terms of trades. I'm interested in cut and thrust swords first quarter of the 16th and back. Most arming swords, daggers. Looking for floating italian or german style arms from late 15th early 16th, or gauntlets. Project pieces are alright. Also civilian clothing from 1490-1510, and firearms (any era).
More pictures coming tonight.
I of course prefer a cash offer.
