This is yet another of those pieces that have to go. This is a baskethilt by Rob Miller of Castle Keep, Isle of Sky Scotland. This is a nice example of a baskethilt of a regimental pattern I'm told. The grip is sharkskin, the basket is browned. There is an etching that has had gold leaf applied on the blade. This sword is in pristine condition. It has never been cut with, in fact you can see that I've never even removed the tag that Rob put on it before he shipped. It's really a rather nice piece, but baskethilts just really aren't my thing and I am raising money for something that really is my thing. :) I'm asking 600 dollars for this piece plus shipping. Statistics available upon request. Thanks for looking.

Wow! That is a really nice piece. I want it... but I am short on funds right now. If it hangs around for a while I will make a desperate attempt to acquire the funds. Goota get this one before Thomas Mac does!

Thanks.
Russ,
I am very interested in your Castle Keep Basket Hilt. Will send pm momentarily.

I received the Castle Keep Basket Hilt from Russ today in fine condition. :D
This is a beautiful piece - a fine example of the sword maker's art. There are just enough tiny imperfections that you know this was made by hand, by someone who knew what he was doing.
I can see why a lot of basket hilts have liners, though. I will need to use gloves.
