This was one of Angus Trim's first attempts at making a blunt sword for western martial arts usage. It used to be my main training sword for a number of years. Its lightweight, but has a good amount of blade presence. There is corrosion on the blade, as well as on the blued hilt components, and there is marring on the flats and edges from years of use. Nonetheless, it is still in good working condition, even if it isn't the prettiest its ever been.

Its a very nice training sword. The edges are a little thin, at about 1.5 mm, so keep that in mind. Some groups would not allow that, but many groups do. The sword has an excellent heat treatment... so much so that it used to often damage other people's swords but retained no visible marks on itself quite often. The grip was done by Christian Fletcher.

Just out of curiosity, what have you done to curb the effects of the corrosion thus far? My concern is what I'd need to do to prevent the metal from corroding further. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, which has a damp and wet climate for much of the year, too.

All of the corrosion is simply surface-discoloration, so a simple scotch-brite pad and some elbow grease would fix it. I could do it myself, but I'm working crazy hours lately, which is why I'm not charging more for it. :)
