This is Ken Trotman's paperback reprint of Eric Valentine's classic monograph on Rapiers of the 16th and 17th centuries. This title is pretty sought-after and copies can be moderately expensive (especially the hardcover). It illustrates over 40 rapiers in B&W, with some precursors and a few related items like parrying daggers.

It's in as-new condition and has really only sat on my shelf for a couple of years.
