I am selling a custom cutlass made by Beau Hickory. He is an outstanding blacksmith from Arizona and used to make many of the prop weapons for Hollywood. I have several of his pieces, and keeping the ones more in tune with my interests. The cutlass is for re-enactment or light sparring. It has NO EDGE. However, the spring in this weapon is unbelievable! The figure 8 guard, pommel cap and guard re-inforcement are all forged steel, as is the blade itself. Handle is hard wood wrapped in steel wire. I let the sword "age" naturally for a more "realistic" look. Hilt came blackened from the forge. OAL is 33.5 inches, blade is 27 x 2 inches. Comes with leather sheath with brass throat and carry rings. This is a great carry sword for naval or pirate re-enactors. Asking $275.00 with free shipping within the Continental US.
