When I originally acquired this sword, it had a more complex hilt that was oversized and very shiny. I trimmed away the upper part of the guard to make it look more typically 16th century in styling. I also treated the hilt and scabbard fittings with cold blueing solution that left it a very mellow grey color. Finally, I stripped the lacquer off the blade. I was quite pleased with the final results, but as I am in need of funds, and only get to "use" this piece at one event every fall, I've decided to let it go. Never been cut with. I am asking $150.00 plus $15 shipping in CONUS.
Forgot to add dimensions of this piece. Overall length is 41 1/2". Blade is 33 3/4" long and 1 11/16" wide at hilt. Cross is 9 1/2" long.

As it is a windlass I'd like to ask a few questions.
1) How tight is the hilt furniture
2) Can I get a picture of the peening for the tang?
M.
The furniture is rock solid -- no movement at all. The sword is not peened, but rather, the pommel appears to be threaded on. I was not able to unscrew the hilt when I was working on the customizations.
Hope that helps.
Chris
