Hello All,
I am selling my very nice, authentic, basket hilt sword. On the blade is engraved a running fox with the name "Harvey".
It is assumed that is blade maker's name. There were four Harvey's who worked in Birmingham, England in the 1700s, so it is difficult to determine which one might have made the sword. I've included a few photos and would be happy to supply more. I will offer a 3 day inspection with a return for a full refund, as long as it is returned in the same condition as it was shipped, if not satisfied. I am asking $3495 or best offer. My e-mail address is: maysales@aol.com. Please feel free to contact me for more information and/or photos. Thank you.
Regards,
George

Hi,
I've received a bit more information regarding this sword. It appears that the sword was probably made in the mid-1700s and is, more than likely, an English Cavalry piece. Sheds a little more light on the subject. Thank you and Happy
Holidays!
