This is a Persian or Caucasian short sword of the mid-late 19thc. This example is unique in having Chinese coins attached to its hilt. The wooden scabbard is a replacement made by Philip Tom.
Here it is on the right, next to the Atlanta Cutlery version. The fullering on the original is much deeper and better defined:

23.5-inch blade, 29" total length. Still a strong and sharp cutter after all these years! I'd planned to custom-decorate the scabbard but just don't have the time for such a project anymore...
