As some of you know, I recently moved from England to Canada; and rather than have all my swords shipped over here, I decided to take stock and sell a few pieces. This will hopefully provide my fellow Europeans with some opportunities to save on the loathsome import duties and expensive trans-Atlantic shipping charges that plague us when we purchase swords from the States; but I'm open to offers from everywhere.
First up is a custom made rapier, by Glen Parrell of Viking Metal Works. This is a very similar piece to the Filmore Rapier listed on Glen's website here: (http://vikingmetalworks.com/rapier.html), but my sword cost a few hundred dollars more, as I also commissioned a leather-covered wood core scabbard and frog/belt suspension. I also requested a bone grip and mild steel pommel - as opposed to the kingwood and brass combination seen on the website. Both the sword and scabbard/suspension are of outstanding quality, something I've come to expect from Glen. The composite hilt displays a beautiful symmetry, and the blade is flawless - clean, sharp lines; and mirror polished.
I'm asking £550 for this sword. It's in perfect, as-new condition; has never been cut with, and handles wonderfully. I've chosen to part with this one because rapiers are not my prime area of interest, and if I can get a decent price for it, I'd prefer to put the money into something new.
Just to confirm, the above price is quoted in Pounds Sterling; and does not include the shipping cost, as this will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual buyer. Please note that you will be charged no more than the actual shipping cost for the sword. Drop me a private message if you're interested, and any offers are welcomed.
Many thanks for looking!
