Antique 16th Century German Burgonet Pikemans Armour set. Likely Composite with various repairs over its lifespan, this lovely pikemans set is circa 1580s - 1600 and is in great condition for its age.
The helmet retains its original linen liner which is not often seen, the armour has been reblackened in its life time, the almain collar and the curiass have buff white leather straps while the helmet strap is brown and broken.
This armour set is believed to have come from Sigmaringen Arsenal and is numbered 14 in Chalk on the inside breastplate and back likely to keep things together. W
