By now I’m sure these need little or no introduction. Mateusz makes first rate swords and scabbards. This sword was made as a facsimile of the Alexandria artefact we know and love, with its original markings: www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/23189
The XVIIIc has become popular for HEMA competitive cutting for good reason and this one is simply a beast of a sword. Authoritative in the cut and bind but agile despite instead of being tip heavy due to the width of the strong of the blade and guard also providing a very stiff thrust.
Hilt is blackened/browned to an attractive dark finish. Comes with chivalric brass mounted belt and 3 point suspension wood core leather scabbard & chape. Leather tooling sheath design is based on a Thames river find.
