For sale here is a quite hard to find Italian Model 1888 artillery trooper sword, of the more scarce WW1 field variety instead of the usual white steel variant or dress toy version for officers.
The bluing is nearly entirely intact, and there is some slight nicking to the front edge. The grip unfortunately has a small breakage near the end, however given the patina and wear I suspect this to be original to the sword service life. The blade is entirely straight.
The blade is 33.5 inches long, and is of the pipeback variety. The grip is the usual hardwood, and follows the idea of Del Frate in his updated sword hilt theory.
For this sword I am asking for 135 USD plus shipping and fees if incurred.
