French cavalry trooper sabre model 1882

The blade is stamped with on back with Mfture d'armes de Chatellereault Juillet 1884 Cav Legere Mle 1882 (pics are badly taken) and poincons on ricasso (hidden by the leather washer) that are for controller 1st class F.L. Sprenger (24/06/1879 to 11/06/1885), controller 2nd class J.M. Brenier (16/09/1874 to 11/07/1889) and director P.A.S. Duban (19/02/1883 to 24/10/1887).

Hilt is marked with the poincons of Duban and Brenier + M.P. Chouard (main controller from 20/04/1874 to 29/12/1887) and number 30973. Single ring scabbard is numbered 31283.

Decent condition but blade will need more cleaning to remove grey patina and black stains and spots but no rust or heavy pitting except some minimal on tip. Nothing loose either.
