This is an arms and armour Montante with a double D ring hilt. It has crossed other swords perhaps a dozen times; it has never been used to spar. While I love Spadone/Montante as a concept, I bought this to learn more about the feel of 16th c. galley combat and that book is now written! I paid $850 and I will cheerfully sell this for $750; mint condition, no waiting.
