Scrapping the end of the barrel for summer, here's a continental cavalry officer sword of the 1700's
Generic P guard model, possibly German or British, mid to late 1700's with engraved blade with symbols and arrow stamp, hard to distinguish because of the pitting damage. The back is marked a hard to read Solingen.
Leather grip in ok shape but a crack on the side but still solid and nothing loose.
The iron scabbard blackened over time, missing a ring and the throat but keeps the sword well.
Nothing broken or loose

Blade: 33''/84cm
