Selling a French private purchase infantry officer sword M1882
Flat branches variation of the IOS 82, very long blade for a tall officer marked Coulaux Cie Klingenthal at the back + inspection stamps on the side (private furbisher poincons); the hand guard is stamped with the furbisher Ed Lafleur, Paris.
Chrome plated hilt and scabbard suffering from pitting, the blade however is in perfect state.
Horn grip of slender ergonomic form; the pommel cap is adorned with the owner’s initials.
