Good day to everyone. I'm no longer interested in the Middle Ages and have lost the collecting bug, so I am liquidating all of my pieces. This baselard dagger was gifted to me a few years ago and I have absolutely no info on it's provenance. The handle is of fossilized ivory and the scabbard mounts are of silver. Blade is a bit over a foot long and is well-sharpened. There was a repair done on the tip of one of the cross pieces at some point in the past using another piece of ivory, but it just adds to the flavor of it. I am asking $500 for it because, well, because it's just so beautiful and deadly.
