I have a nice example of the rare NCO version of the 1796 infantry sword with fixed guard and plain soldierly hilt for sale. It
has an un-adorned and stiffer (compared to other officer versions that I have owned) , combat worthy blade . The brass wire
wrapped grip is one of the nicest I've seen. Missing a rear quillon, but that is not unusual at all on this pattern.Sometimes
NCO's took off the quillon on purpose as it got hooked on belts, cuffs etc. The fact that it is cleanly taken off at the root also
supports this theory. I am asking $400 (which includes shipping in the U.S.) Payment thru Paypal of course.
