Hey folks,
I'm putting my Windlass/MRL burgonet with falling buffe for sale. It's made of 18 gauge steel with brass trim. The buffe (face guard) is articulated, allowing it to be opened via a spring loaded stud. The buffe is held to the helm via an adjustable leather strap. The cheek flaps are hinged.
This has been discontinued. You can still find it on the net for $250 and higher. It's in better condition than how it arrived, having had some rust inside cleaned off. Helm and buffe have been sealed with clear varnish for protection.
Asking $185 plus shipping. Included is MRL's helmet stand, which they sell for $30.

What type of varnish did you use?
Thanks,

Clear polyurethane, I think Varathane is the brand. It's removed fairly easy with lacquer thinner and elbow grease. I've applied it and removed it from sword blades before and it wasn't a big deal taking it off.
Price drop:
Asking $170 plus shipping.
New price (and last price drop):
$155 plus shipping or best reasonable offer.
Sold!
