I have here an unmarked model 1796 saber is good condition. Some surface rust on the metal scabbard that could probably be taken care of with steel wool and oil. Some dark spots on the guard where the nickel plate or whatever they used has flaked off to expose the iron under. Handle is in new condition and the blade is perfect. The fact that the hilt was nickeled is intriguing, but the lack of any makers or arsenal marks anywhere suggests to me that this is a very good copy and not an old piece so I am pricing it accordingly at $150 plus $15 shipping CONUS. Dimensions are as follows, but are pretty standard 1796: 38" overall with a 33" blade. Weight I am hazarding at about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 pounds with a POB at 6 1/2 inches
