This is a replica of a late 7th Century Anglo Saxon buckle from the Breach Down grave site in Kent. As with the original the buckle is cast, with integral rectangular plate ornamented with two open-work crosses and three groups of punched ring-and-dots, the loop is oval. It comes drilled for 3 small rivets which are supplied as well as a bronze backplate.
Length 57mm, width 28mm, strap width 19mm.
Materials: Lost wax cast bronze.
After I ordered it from the craftsman, I decided to go with a different sized buckle, so I have this one, still new condition and it is thinking about a new home. Beautifully made, this is NOT RQP quality.
$60 delivered in US. I prefer check , but PAYPAL is acceptable
