The helmet from Giecz is a handforged reconstruction of the 10-11th century Polish helmet by Thorkil. It can be viewed at http://www.thorkil.pl/giecz2_eng.htm . The helmet is made to fit a large sized 63 cm circumference head. It has been used twice in historical re-enactment battles and is made to cope with the rigors of head blow combat. A small rust mark and a tiny battle mark are visible in the photograph otherwise the helmet is as good as new. I hope somebody can use this helmet as it's a great piece of equipment and a rare opportunity to get something made by Thorkil for such a reasonable price.
