Up for sale is something you don't see very often.
I am selling my original M1881 Russian enlisted shashka. The blade is dated 1917 and has the Zlatoust Factory marking. It measures at 27" which is actually cut down from the original 31". There is light surface corrosion on spots and tooling marks can be seen where the tip was reshapen. The edge has been lightly sharpened and there is no damage to it.
The Overall length in the scabbard is 37". The leather covered wood scabbard has part of its original suspension leather attached to the ring and the one brass fitting is marked (I believe) "297".
The knucklebow has the Zlatoust marking which can be tough to see and it is dated 1908. The wood grip is solid with some older material loss but nothing substantial.
