This is a high quality custom reproduction of a loop-hilted gentleman's sword from the folks at Arms and Armor. Loop-hilted swords were popular from about 1750-1780 and were mounted on several different types of blades (see Neumann's Swords and Blades of the American Revolution: 151.S, 152.S & 212.S). This one is mounted on a 29" diamond blade of diamond cross-section. The hilt itself has a black finish common to "mourning swords" of the period. The grip is very nicely finished with Overall length is 34 3/4". I am including a scabbard that was converted to fit this sword. The scabbard isn't anything special, but it is serviceable and allows the sword to be used for reenacting. Price is $850 plus $35 shipping in CONUS. Additional photos available upon request.
