This XVIIIe is another product of various artisans. The blade is by Al Massey, the fittings by Erik Stevenson and the handle by myself. Erik also did some cleanup work on the blade.

Performance Review: This is a cutting sword. This one would undoubtedly do a a number on mail and makes devastating cuts on heavy targets. It is not a finesse weapon or a fencing sword. In all reality it is a two handed version of the XVIIIe, it's big, it's brutal and it's very effective.

Appearance: This sword intially showed a bit of Al's standard rough finish, it had some uneveness some hammer marks etc. However I had Erik Stevenson of Phoenix Metalworks work on it a bit and it is a much cleaner weapon now. Erik also built the pommel and cross for this sword. Both pieces are up to his usual high standards. Overall this sword is pleasing to look at it has a certain tough elegance.

I can pay you up front for the sword, then send you payment for the scabbard once it is completed.

I know you might have a backlog right now, so I can wait a month or two if you have to finish other projects before doing the scabbard.
