I have decided to take my Albion FirstGen Spatha out of the collection, in favor for another sword. It is a fine piece (naturally, it wouldn't be Albion otherwise :) ) but one Roman sword is actually enough for me so I stick to the gladius. It's simply a matter of restructuring the collection.
The spatha has been used for light and medium cutting (water bottles and one or two tatami mats) and the edge is still as sharp as on day 1. I never saw any need for resharpening. The only cosmetical imperfections that I can spot right now are a few minor surface scratches on the blade and slight traces of use on the wooden hilt components.
There is also a selfmade leather sheath for the sword, plain and simple but very practical for carrying it on the belt and preventing edge contact while transporting. If anyone is interested in a photo of the sheath, no problem, just send me a message.
I'm interested in trading the spatha for another Albion sword or anything in equal quality. Preferably another one hander. In case you're offering a more valuable sword I would be willing to pay the difference, too. But I'm not interested in lower end swords.
So basically, just throw in an offer, we'll talk about it then. And if there's anything you would like to know, of course don't hesitate to ask. ;)
