I had this blade custom made by Arms & Armor of Minnesota last year for a DIY project.
Unfortunately I could never get to it.
Rather than keeping the blade indefinitely, I would like to sell her.
The specs are as follows :
Total length - 58 1/8"
Blade length - 43 7/8"
Width - 2 1/8"
Thickness - 0.220"
Weight - 3 lb 6 oz
Steel - 6150 ( A&A standard ? )
The blade is as new, in perfect condition.
Asking US $ 400.00 + shipping + 3% paypal fee. Will ship to CONUS only.
Thanks for looking,
Gabriel

Gabriel I realize its unhilted and a type XX, but could you double check the weight. also, could you give us just a brief readers digest on how you and A&A came up with the blade geometry...... it seems..... based on my quick back-of-the-envelope analysis, to be , well, kind of out there in terra incognita as far as blades go based on weight, length, tang length/blade length, width at hilt etc. but maybe there was an extant example it was based on? thanks! tr
The blade weight is 3 lb 5.8 oz with an accuracy of + or - 0.1 %. Other parameters are unchanged.
The design and execution was with my input and A&A's expertise with the geometry based on XX.1 here:

This is not the first XX type that A&A is making and surely they are very well experienced.
As for the subject of "terra incognita" and "extant exemple" , while everybody is entitled to an opinion, I don't believe this is the right place I should be engaged in such discussions. Please use PM.
Gabriel
I wasn't being critical as you already know from our PM's I was interested. Its a very big sword yet still might be under 1900g when all is said and done and hilted. It must have a steep distal taper in addition to the fullers. Its just a big bearing sword which is why I asked. I thought it might be a reproduction of an actual sword. good luck tr
As Gabriel indicated, this forum is not for discussion, per se. Ask and answer a few questions about the item, but leave the related discussions for other forums or private messages, please.
Thank you
Well, I guess it is time to make the inevitable happen: making the sword !
What was meant to happen originally, will happen now.
Thanks for giving me this opportunity.
Gabriel
