Okay, I have gone back and forth on this for weeks - but I have decided to put up my Great Bascinet for sale.

The helm pictured on the link IS the helm that you would be getting (mine is the first, and only to my knowledge, helm of this type that they have built). Note, this helm was built for jousting, but would make a superb full steel combat helm for WMA as well. The visor is removable, so you could get a SCA bargrille or have a period tilting visor built for this helm as well.

This helm is all hotrolled 12ga (even the visor) - has an installed period liner and plume holder - if you bought it right now off of their site it would cost you $857 + shipping + production time.

The price - $850 including shipping (in US - outside I would need to bump it up slightly depending upon where you live). A very reasonable price to pay for a one-of-a-kind helm.

Oh yeah, my head is 23 1/2" and I wear this helm with a padded arming cap and it fits great! Only worn during one weekend joust and has never taken a hit.
