This helmet is the result of an attempt to reproduce feel, look and craft of a common-mans helmet in the mid/late 15th.
Inspiration taken from museum originals and documentation in the book "the Churburg Armoury".
Based on a model by Martin Bavin, this sallet is hot-forged and quench-hardened from 2mm steel, then ground and filed entirely by hand using tools close to the medieval craftmans.
Also naturally tanned leather and on-location-made rivets & buckles are used.
Asking price 350€.
(Note; pics are taken before chinstrap & buckle has been attached.)

What size head does it fit?
It fits a head of ca 60cm, with a medium padded coif. Then ofcourse the fit might be ajusted some depending on the thickness of the ciof.
