I have a very nice 15th c. bevor with falling top lame (spring pin lock). The piece is by Patrick Thaden and lined and strapped in historical style by myself, with hand stitching throughout and homemade octagonal washers for lining and strap rivets .
The piece was blued at one time but is now polished back to plain armour bright. The white lining is very slightly soiled, but only from trying it on in the workshop. The piece has never been worn for more than a few minutes at a time and rarely even for that long. I made the strap extra long to accommodate a variety of neck sizes. The body of the bevor can be opened or closed slightly to adjust to the owner's face. The last photo below will give you some idea of bevor size (shown here with top lame dropped).
The custom-designed sallet and bevor display stand comes with this piece. It's ready to stain, seal or paint according to your taste.
$250 shipped in CONUS. Money order or personal check. I welcome full or partial trade for late 15th c. breast.
