For sale is an Albion Regent, a type XVIIIb hand-and-a-half sword with hollow-ground blade. Hilt is gripped in black leather and has blued furniture. It has been used for some light cutting, but the blade has just been fully re-touched at the Albion workshop to original finish and sharpness. Grip is in very good condition, with only some very minor creasing of the leather in one or two spots. The leather is still a nice, uniform black. The bluing has softened a bit along the edges of the guard and pommel, giving the hilt furniture a nice, antiqued appearance.
Sword has been kept oiled and in a scabbard. I made the scabbard myself, oiled poplar wrapped in black leather. It was a rough, early attempt, and is not complete, with no chape or suspension. Fit is a little loose, and as a whole, the scabbard is a little plain and clunky, but it does provide protection for the blade. I am happy to throw it in at no additional charge, if the buyer would like to have it.
Asking $1,250, which includes shipping via Fed Ex. Payment accepted through Pay Pal.
