The book's full title is Princely Splendor: The Dresden Court 1580-1620. It is a catalogue of an exhibition of art, clothing, sculpture, arms, armour, and other implements from the Saxon Court at the end of the 16th century. The book is a co-production of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It's not solely focused on arms & armour, but has some great shots of fantastic items (including a pretty nice shot of the rapier/dagger set with clocks in their pommels and a nice shot of the rapier with a spring-loaded blade). The arms and armour section takes up 30-some pages of this 319 page book.
Also included are great pictures of period clothing, portraits, sculpture and other items and a history of the Electors of Saxony.
This is the hardback edition of this book and is in as-new condition. The hardcover edition often goes for near $60. I'm asking $45 + shipping. PayPal preferred.
