I am assisting a friend with the sale of two of his A&A pieces, purchased around 1997-1998 time frame
both of these swords have been predominately wall hangers, although the rapier looks like it was used for some VERY light sparring, I assume this was stopped because it has an actual edge.
the first is a 2 ring rapier,
blade length is: 44 inches
over all length: 51 inches from tip to pommel nut.
over all finish is in very good shape, the blade is free of rust, it's straight, no pitting, as stated there are some signs of light sword play most likely in an effort to see if it was a good choice for stage combat, but these marks are small, and I had initially missed them on my first inspection, I hope i'm being descriptive enough.
the hilt and pommel look good, a little patina from hanging on the wall, some slight discoloration but no pitting, and nothing a few licks with a wire wheel of some hand polishing could not clear away.
the small sword:
this is arms and armors standard #069 small sword,
it is very clean,
over all length is 34.75 inches
blade 29 inches long.
no pitting, on any surface,
as with the rapier some small patina, but no dark discoloration's
both weapons come with scabbards
he is asking for 800 for the set,
300 for the small sword
600 for the rapier (yes i know it's cheaper to buy them both together)
I have both weapons in my possession and can answer most questions about the weapons themselves
