This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available

I have for sale a custom version of A&A's Highland Claymore. As some of you know, A&A will occasionally modify part of their existing lineup to meet customer's demands. This is one of those efforts. The intent was to create an earlier claymore that was handier and not quite as massive. Therefore, rather than the typical blade, the blade from their German Bastard sword was utilized (fitting since many claymores utilized German Blades). This reduces the blade length by 3" and makes the sword handier. Likewise the hilt was shortened by 4". Overall these modifications result in a sword that matches the earlier claymores in proportions while dropping about a pound in weight from the original model. Handling wise it is almost identical to the GBS, a sword which belies its weight. However, as that wasn't enough for me I have further modified it. I have given the hilt fittings a nice satin finish rather than the bead blasted finish A&A typically uses as well as adding decorative filework based on original claymores to the langlets etc.
Finally I have reshaped the grip and given it a custom grip wrap to match Albion's Chieftain.
As you can see I think it has resulted in a very handsome sword and one that will unleash the highlander in you.
The sword is in mint condition.
Asking $800.
PM me if interested,
