Julian, you may be one of the many people who found myArmoury because of the forums. Please note that there are also extensive areas dedicated to product reviews:

http://www.myArmoury.com/reviews.html

As far as the By-The-Sword link you provided, those don't look like anything I've ever seen from Arms and Armor (and I've just about memorized thier entire website Laughing Out Loud ) Try looking here: http://www.arms-n-armor.com/ Thier products are excellent, and I have yet to hear of any dissatisfied buyers, but their prices do reflect the top quiality of thier wares.

By-The-Sword is a reseller for a lot of weapons produced out of eastern Europe, and while they open up a valuable market to customers in the US, their prices are...um...not always in line with market value. Eek! I recommend that you find those manufacturers and contact them directly. Working with language differences can be challenging, but the price to you should come way down. Shipping may sting a bit.

I hope this helps.

Oh hold the phone. This is http://www.arms-armor.cz/ - Same industry different country. As I stated above, By The Sword is a reseller for these. As far As i know they make a pretty good product, and thier selection is very large. I would still recommend that you check out thier website before you buy from By The Sword. The currency difference really works in your favor.

There is more than one company that uses the name Arms & Armour (or Arms & Armor). The US-based Arms & Armor is well-thought of. The company you linked to is a different entity.

By The Sword is the US distributor for things retailed by www.Outfit4Events.com; they call them "Arms & Armour". Some of the items dealt by Outfit4Events could be made by some of the better-known Czech smiths like Pavel Moc. Many items are of unknown quality. The stuff OUtfit4events deals through By The Sword are some of the unknowns.

Gavin,
I don't think that's the same stuff retailed through By the Sword. Please see my post above.

I always thought a lot of those looked like products in the Kovex-Ars catalogue.

I'm not sure the By-the-Sword retailed items are Kovex Ars. The fit and finish looks higher on the BTS stuff and I didn't find most of the BTS items on the Kovex website.
