Thanks for the update Grayson

I immediately went over to the SGB site and from what I read. It seems that clyde may be willing to re-issue the Generation 2 Excalibur but maybe on a small commission run and for individulas seriously interested in purchasing one.

At a proposed $500 it will be a little more expensive than the original but I would be prepared to pay the money for a nice quality sword as that. Not too sure about the other use of materials to replace the brass fittings in order to keep the price down. I'd rather have it in brass as on the original Generation 2 Excalibur.

Anyhow it's good news for us folk wanting to own Excalibur. Iv'e been after one of these for years and missed on on purchasing one. I won't pass up the opportunity this time around.

Thanks again Grayson for your input. I would never have known overwise.

Ian

hello everyone Big Grin

Dose anyone own one of Gen 2's claymores? Or has anyone handled one of them? PM me if you want to talk about them.

I've read that some of the longer swords have had problems in the blade (bent blades, poor tempering, blades breaking, ect...). Has anyone had any of these problems? I read that they have fixed this problem but I wanted to make sure.

I had a Gen2 12th century sword and the blade bent, but it was from one of the older batches and they have probably fixed the problems later...
