Hello,

I've always been interested in swords and until some years ago when we sold it all, our house was full of authentic swords, damascus swords, homemade(by my grandad) damascus swords, spears etc. But luckily we kept some pieces

One of those pieces is this sable. Theres a label on it saying its from 1876 and a cavalry officers sable.
I've searched of the internet but couldn't find any information on it. Nor could I find a sword that resembles this one.
Oh yeah, and the label too says "Puype", I don't know if that says anything to you guys.

So I figured out forums would be the best way to find out where this sword is from and maybe some information on it. Maybe you can help me?

sincerely,

Rik Ypey
