My new Pavel Moc custom XVI.3
Well it finally arrived, poorly packaged but greatly crafted.. and ive been waiting for this one. The sword is based on the XVI.3 from the Nationalmuseum, Copenhagen and she´s a real beauty. Pavel did a great job on this one including some lively qualities needed to make such a sword. Its based/inspired by the original (no hands on documentation) and i think he did well bringing it to life.
The blade is quite flexible but still stiff enough for horrid thrusts, and she handles swiftly but stoutly. I cant think of a more perfect sword for I.33 fencing. To me this weapon characterizes the transitional period. Probably used around 1350 and therefor made to combat both maille and plate-wearing opponents.

Measurements and Specifications:
Weight: 1,1kg
Overall length: 92cm
Blade length: 76,5cm
Blade width: 5,5cm at base
Pommel and crossguard made from antique 18th century iron from a church lattice (still of highest quality).

The unfortunate side is that i might be forced to sell her..:( This sword was ordered before i made the pragmatic decision to only focus on late 15th century living history - so as much as id love to keep her collector-discipline and the wallet says otherwise. So if anyone is interested drop me a PM.

Ill let the pictures speak for the rest;

It is really a great looking sword :) I am sorry it no longer fits into your area of interest, but I suspect you won't have too much trouble finding it a new home.
Interesting piece.

Nice bladeshape and finish looks good.

Fuller does not seem to run under the cross. Is the original like that?
