could anyone tell me about what time the removable tang nut appeared on the Scottish Basket Hilt?

There is a good old thread elsewhere about threaded tangs. The technology that would permit it goes back further than the style of hilt. IIRC, that thread ended with thought and examples of quite early basket hilts that exhibited a threaded tang. Threaded tangs appear to have been fairly common by the mid 17th century.
