Hi everyone,
I'm looking to commision a custom project (rapier) and wondered if anyone was aware of the approximate waiting times for the major manufacturers such as darkwood and arms & armor etc.
All the best

The arms and armour manufacturers tend to be very friendly people so why not just give each company a call. I bet they would be very happy to discuss this with you.

Martin,
I agree with Jeremy, give them a call. From what I can glean it is usually 6 to 12 months. I am curious about something, I see your from the UK. Why is it you would be looking to buy from a US based firm? Are there not accomplished Arms and Armour vendors in the UK?
Thanks
Sam

To venture a guess, currency values effectively make the US route half price for him.

There are several good vendors in the U.K., most of which have great reputations may I add. But from information I have gathered from forums such as this one, few manufacturers can compare (in terms of quality) to the likes of Arms & Armor etc.
Thanks for your posts everyone.
