Info: German weapon term diagrams
I've ended up with a decent number of German books in my library, which is fantastic, because German books often are well-illustrated and often show examples that aren't published regularly in English-language titles. As my wife likes to point out, I don't read or speak German, which limits the value of the text. :\

However, I just stumbled on these diagrams in on of my new books, Illustriertes Lexikon der hieb- Stich-Waffen. They take various kind of weapons and give basic terminology for the parts. This will certainly be an aid for me going forward, and I thought some of you out there might find it helpful in figuring out German-language book or website texts. Enjoy!

This is very helpful, Chad. Many thanks!

Best of all, the terms allow me to search online for specific terms and find arms not published in English.
