Best,

Does that include the various spathae or "only" the three gladii already in production (just curious)?

Nice idea with Caesars birthday.

Yep, all Roman swords, including the Spathae, are included!

Best,

Howy
And again i am curious:
I've been looking at your roman swords for a while, especially at the "Alaris" (http://www.albion-swords.com/swords/albion/ne...spatha.htm ), since they are kind of part of my field. I wrote my masters thesis on an aspect of the bog finds, so i am very curious if (or when) the drawing will be replaced by a photograph? I am sure I am not the only one who is interested in seeing your interpretation of this finds. :)

Greetings from Kiel, Germany
Oh my, Howy's trying to get me killed! Just kidding of course. I love that Mainz Gladius but for fear of my life as to where that sword might wind up on my person via my wife I am most probably with great reluctance going to have to pass on this offer. Shucks!

In my own personal humble opinion, when it comes to Roman and Viking swords, no one does them better than Albion :!: That is, without getting into extremely expensive custom folded pattern steel ( I think I got this right?) Viking swords
I've held that Mainz Gladius a number of times and it's a real beaut! And Albion Viking swords, wow! I absolutely "love" Albions Viking swords, so far, I own one, the Berserkr, of which once I pick it up I can't seem to put it down.

Anyway this is Roman swords and not Viking swords here. Man do I wish I could buy that gladius!

My advice, don't pass this one up my fellow knights of the sword, if your able to afford a Roman sword during this time, because these Albion Roman swords are awesome, I've handled the Allectus and the Pedite. You cannot go wrong!

Boy do I wish I could jump on this band wagon!

Bob
Yeah, they want my wife to kill me too. Damn them!

Anyone need some plasma? :D

Jepp, me too!

For me it is the Alaris, because it reminds me a little bit of this piece I always liked, shown below.

Arrghh! I just can't do it this year!
An update:

Peter is here today (his last day of this visit) working on the final blade designs for the three spatha with Steve, our CAD designer. I can't say when for sure they will be released (too many factors), but our hope is to have them in production before the end of the year.

Best,

Howy
wohooooo!
