This is something I traded for in hopes that I could re-wrap the handle and be content with it. Well, I guess that I have handled too many high quality japanese style swords because I have a hard time seeing this the same way. Plus I really have lost interest in the japanese stuff and want to get back to my celtic iron age. The blade was blued when I got it, most likely to help cover up the imperfections from the practical line and had a loose white ito. I cleaned the blue off the blade and re-wrapped it with a dark blue green silk ito and replaced the plastic menuki with some bamboo ones that I had bought from David Goldberg a few years ago. I made the saya for it, but didn't even get around to putting any fittings on it. I would like $100 +$15 shipping and can take check, money order, or paypal (+3%).
