Other two pieces from my collection. This time I'll show you two integral hunting knives from the southern Italy, XVIII-XIX century. I would like to know something more about them, and I need your help.

Bigger knife:
Overall lenght: 37cm
Blade lenght: 25cm
Width: 42mm
Thickness: 4,5mm in the thickest point
Weight: 320gr

Dagger:
Overall lenght: 30cm
Blade lenght: 20cm
Width: 33mm
Thickness: 3mm
Weight: 160gr

Giuseppe,

Those are certainly nice knives. Unfortunately I know nothing about them, but I am hoping somebody who does know about them will chime in. Nice photos, too.

What you have looks like a hunting trousse--a set of knives used to dress the carcass after the kill.

Giuseppe Maresca-

These are impressive. Do you have further information or can you refer me to books discussing hunting knives of this period/origin? I've been doing some research lately on hunting weapons and tools and have found some interesting variations found on Italian and Spanish examples. Any input would be helpful.
