Something different...
Hello everyone!
My latest,
I usually work with more european designs, but dahs are really inspiring blades!!
The blade is 14 inches 340 layers W1-wrought iron damascus with a W1 edge san-mai
Handle of violet wood,a bit more than 7 inches.
wrought iron kind of habaki and buffalo horn.
The black lacquered sheath and part of the handle are bound with leather string. There is a small polished river pebble on the seath, to keep with the "flowing river" damascus...natural look!!

Thank you Anton, very kind compliment!

Now there's something different alright!!

But very, very nice. Everything flows very nicely. A lively piece to be sure.
Antoine;

Very nice work, I just ran across your interview at http://www.bladesignforum.com/ that showed this one as well a few other pieces of your impressive work. Other should be able to find the interview easily enough: I didn't link directly to the interview because I am not sure about the copyright issues.

Good interview and the photographs of your work there are very good: Always a good thing when the photography does justice to the subject.

The mix of styles / techniques across geography and time seem to work well in your hands and is just building on the past.
Very neat.
