Written by Heinrich Müller ( Mueller ) and Hartmut Kölling ( Koelling ), photos by Gerd Platow published by Military Publishing House of the German Democratic Republic (" Militärverlag der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik ") in 1982.

Covering the period from the 5th century through the 19th century with a specific focus of, I'd say, 14th-16th centuries, this work covers several areas including swords, rapiers, sabers, daggers, knives, impact weapons, polearms, and other things. Bibliography, text, technical explanations and a large introduction section are included. All text is in German. This is a rare volume and somewhat difficult to find.

All photos are of excellent quality and quite detailed. A large variety of items is represented.

Very large out-of-print volume with 448 pages and over 600 of color and black and white photos and illustrations. Linen hardcover. Dust cover included, but worn. Book is worn but in good/very good condition.
