I picked up the last of my clothing on the weekend.

I have had some of this stuff for a few weeks but decided to wait to post pics until I had it all.

The clothing is from Tamara Lees. Tamara has been making my clothing since 2000.

It isn't quite sitting right as I threw it on very quickly to try and catch the last of the daylight and the batteries in the camera went flat.

I have 2 pairs of hose, one black pair and the dark plum pair I am wearing.
I have 2 doublets, both the same pattern.
The doublet in the pic is a velvet worked all over with silk leaves and flowers and lined in gold silk.
My other doublet is a wear around black linen lined in calico.
My arming coat is also black linen (pics of that tomorrow).
The coat of green wool is trimmed in fur and lined in a fine brown linen.

The vast majority of sewing on these clothes is done by hand. There is very little machine sewing. All the eyelets are done by hand.

I also need to replace all the temporary shoelaces with proper points with brass tips.

The turnshoes and chaperon are from Historic Enterprises. I am really happy with these. The shoes are great and fit perfectly. The chaperon is such a cool hat

I will be making a pair of long riding boots for myself to go with this kit.

This is the upper half of my new harness. The full legs are on their way. This was built for me by Jiri Lucius http://www.volny.cz/jlucius/

The harness is absolutely gorgeous and fits like a glove. Jiri is an absolute dream to work with and I will be ordering much more from him.

You should give us contact information for your costumer and armourer assuming they are not easy to find with a search: They both do good work from what I can see and it might bring them more business.

( My apologies if I should be able to recognize their names. :blush: )

Rod, I've been watching your armour in progress on the Armour Archive. . . simply awesome! Are you going to get some matching armour done for your horse to go with this harness? :D

I like the doublet - the shoulders are full enough without seeming over the top. Am I seeing things or are the sleeves laced for fit from shoulder to wrist? It will be interesting to see the boots, too.


. . . and I'm glad to see you've designed your hosen this time around to accomodate some steel to protect the 'nethers ;). . .

Hope all is well, and good jousting this season. It would be a shame to see someone put a dent in that beautiful armour, as I know such a villian who would try such a thing would have a far better view of your kit from the flat of their back :cool:

Rod, the armor is really cool. Looks wicked nice. The clothes...I'm not sure I woulda wanted to live in those days (I say the same thing when I see pics of my dad's basketball shorts from the seventies), but props to you...nice kit all in all.
